The messages of the Qur'an to humanity in the parable of Hz. Adem

The Quran was sent as a guide to humanity. While providing this guidance, it sometimes imposes prohibitions and sometimes commands. In addition to these, it also includes stories. Stories are important events of people or communities who lived in the past. Stories make up more than a quarter of the Quran. The majority of these stories are stories of the Prophet. Stories are told in sections in the Quran. Stories are real events that took place in the past. They are told for the realization of certain purposes, such as for people to take a lesson, for the hopes of believers to be strengthened, and for polytheists and unbelievers to be proven wrong. The fact that Hz. Adam is the first human and the ancestor of humanity makes his story important and meaningful for humanity. Hz. Adam is the first and only human created from soil by going through certain stages. After he was created, he was equipped with knowledge by Allah (swt) and subjected to a test with angels. Afterwards, the angels were ordered to prostrate to Adam (pbuh). All of them prostrated except for Iblis. When Iblis rebelled, he was expelled. Then, Iblis declared war and asked for a respite until the day when people would be resurrected. Allah (swt) granted him the respite he requested. Hz. Adam and his wife were placed in Paradise. There, they could eat and drink as they wished - except for approaching a tree. However, Satan deceived them and made them eat from the forbidden tree, causing them to leave Paradise. With the descent of Hz. Adam and his wife to the world, the worldly life and testing began for mankind. After they had children and reached a certain age, Hz. Adam's two sons offered sacrifices to Allah (swt). While one was accepted, the other was not. Thereupon, the one whose sacrifice was not accepted killed the other. When something is first made, its working principles and user manual are determined through the first prototype. Since Hz. Adam is the first human being (so to speak), the working principles and user manual of human beings are learned from his story. Hz. Adam's first action was to learn. The most important issue of human beings is the issue of learning. Hz. Adam was once deceived by the devil and lost paradise. Human beings who want paradise should not be deceived by the devil. These and many other principles and tips about life are learned from this story.
