"This study describing "An Intance of the Ottoman Propaganda in World War I: The Cihan Islam Journal", consist of the two parts. At the prologue of that study there is some information about the history of Turkısh pres early works and historical process of Turkısh journalism. In the first part, Cemiyet-i Hayriye-i Islamiye that have published The Cihan Islam Journal, has been introduced and it has been mentioned causes of publishing The Cihan Islam Journal and aim of Cemiyet-i Hayriye-i Islamiye's enterprise. In that part The Cihan Islam has been ıntroduced physically, news headlines and article titles in the journal have been categorized as their publication languages. As for the second part of the study, concept and kinds of propaganda have been clarified. At the same time in the second part The Cihan Islam Journal has been examined as the number of people in Ottoman Empire before it's attendance World War I. and again ın that part it has been given place to articles and news that have published fort he purpose of propaganda in the journal.
