I.H.Bursevi's Vesiletu'l-Meram (review and text)

The purpose of my thesis is to study the life of İsmâil Hakkı Bursevû andto determine his opinions in the light of his work of art Vesûletü?l-Merâm.İsmâil Hakkı who had lived in the second half of XVI. and in the firstquarter of XVII. Century was one of famous sheikhs of Celvetiyye. Being a highqualified sufi Bursevû had carried out his duty both as a teacher, as a preacher,as a murshid and as an author moderately. He had many works of art in thefield of İslamic science and language and literature.İsmâil Hakkı in his work of art Vesûletü?l-Merâm dwells upon eightnecessary conditions to benefit from a strong sülûk and lonelyness (halvet).While examining the eight conditions that were based on Cüneyd-i Bağdâdû, healso dealed with some of the important issues of İslamic mysticism. These eightconditions are examined in the second chapter of our thesis and the otherİslamic mystic subjecks discussed in Vesûletü?l-Merâm are studied in the thirdpart of it.At the patch of our work İsmâil Hakkı?s work of art was translated in totoday?s Turkish text from four hand written manuscripts.
