Analysis, critical edition and translation of İbn Bajja's Risalat Ittisal al-'Aql Bi-l-İnsan

In this study we have provided, the translation and a esitical edition of Ibn Bajja's Andulusian scholar work, Risalat fi 'ttisal al- aql bi'l-insan. As understood from the name of the work, the process of imposing human with active mind, how the intellect and agglutination should be in this process and the types of agglutination have been discussed. The subject mind has a very important place in the philosophical thought tradition. The mind that is the essence of knowledge has been studied by many philosophers, defined as the ability that realizes the truth of existence. Although Ibn Bajja takes human and human happiness as a basis, the mind is very important for his theory. The fact that human has the ability to think is the most important feature that separates human from other existents. In this realm of human being that has this feature has the power to have information too. According to Ibn Bajja the intellect power of the intellection itself. This mental power has certain stages in human. These stages are in the form of three stages. It is possible to rise from one to another. In one of the manuscript that Ibn Bajja has written, the rankings have been discussed in detail. The last range is the level of active mind where the human mind reaches the highest level. The human beings see the truth itself in this level. In this study, my aim is to examine the work of Ibn Bajja and reveal the nature of his views on this issue.
