Ibn Kesîr's (d. 774/1373) in The Tafsîru'l-Qur'âni'l-Azîm in his work on the determination and evaluation of the rumors (Mecca Period)

Ibn Kesîr, who created works in tafsir, history, hadith, method and many other fields, is an important scholar who grew up in Damascus region and benefited from his views as a source. Ibn Kesîr's work Tafsîru'l-Qur'âni'l-Azîm is known as a famous narrative of rumors. In this work, he presents a large collection of narratives written before him to next generations. Ibn Kesîr used a lot of cyber narrative in explaining the verses in this tafsir. He was not confined to conveying these narrations, but he also made evaluations by making criticisms of the notes and text. The rich content of the soviah included in this work, which combines his historiography, his tafsirism, and the style of the hadith, constitute an important material for his siyer studies. Our aim is to compile and evaluate the siyer information which plays a leading role in the correct understanding of the verses, in the context of Tafsir, which he wrote with the rich accumulation of Ibn Kesîr. In this study, it has been determined that the siyer narratives that Ibn Kesir has given a high proportion in his Tafsir and his evaluations with his multi-faceted scientific personality were examined. Because of the excess of the rumors mentioned in this issue and the limits of our research, our research has been limited to the accounts of Mecca period. In our study, the narrative material related to the identified siyer was subjected to a chronological classification according to the content. The content of the information has been determined by our headings. The evaluations were made by taking into consideration the author's opinions at the end of the main chapters of the section where the narrations were examined and at the relevant places. The evaluations of Ibn Kesîr with his extensive knowledge accumulate light for the researches that will be carried out after him. His meticulous evaluations in an effort to find the true, correct and reliable have led to the acceptance of his work among reliable sources. In our study, It is seen that the rumors about the issues of isra and mi'râj and the struggle of the Hz. Prophet with the idolaters are in the period of Mecca compared to the other siyer issues.
