Abstract (EN)

In this study, Ibn Sina's outlook on time issue has been evaluated. The opinions of Greek antiquity philosophers and Islamic thinkers before Ibn Sînâ also have comparatively been studied. In this context, our study has been put forward by following a comparative method and dealing with the outlook based on Ibn Sina. Besides giving the views of the Ancient philosopher Aristotle in the period after commentators on the problems giving the advert an important part of the work. The views of the philosopher in Islamic thought that time was evaluated in the context of the works. After that, the concept of time has been searched in view of species of being and it has been considered in the context of the affairs with place and movement. According to Ibn Sina, time is the criterion of movement as in Aristotle. To him, time has not got a worldly being, but has got an imaginary being as a result of continuously endless moments have been understood in an imaginary shape. Time, in view of its beginning, conveys an eternal characteristic because it is the criterion of the movement and the movement(,) which comes after God in point of being, is also eternal.
