Özet (EN)

ABSTRACT In the Ottoman scholarly tradition, treatises on theology and belief were not limited to authored texts addressing specific topics. Various text types aimed at reinterpreting, deepening, or summarizing classical works from previous periods also gained popularity. Within this framework, works written in various forms, such as commentary, annotation, supplementary, ta'liq, nazm, telhis, tafsir, abridgment, and translation, not only ensured the continuity of the scholarly tradition but also reflected the openness of theology to new interpretations. This style of production reflects a religious thought that was not limited to literal explanations, but aimed to expand the content of the texts. This study focuses on the work of Ibrāhim Nātiqī, a member of the Ottoman theological tradition, titled Risāle-i Akāid al-Islam. It analyzes the author's position within the field of theology and his views on Islamic belief. In evaluating Nātiqī Efendi's approach to the principles of faith, both classical theological approaches and the religious and philosophical background of his time were considered. The analysis of the work was conducted based on the analytical method, and the findings were classified under relevant subheadings. The evaluations, based on the Sunni understanding and the Quran, aim to reveal Ibrāhim Nātiqī's contribution to theological thought. Furthermore, the richness of the sources consulted in the study is highlighted, emphasizing the place of this work within the continuity of the scholarly tradition. Keywords: Theology and Islamic Sects, Ottoman Empire, Ibrāhim Nātiqī, Risāle-i Aḳāid al-Islam. .
