The analysis of academic studies on fairy tales from the Central Anatolia Region from various perspectives

This study aims to examine 20 folktales and their variants from the Central Anatolia Region structurally and psychologically. Based on the Historical-Geographical Finnish Method and Propp's Method, the folktale texts have been classified and analyzed according to these two theories. The findings reveal that while not all functions are present in a single fairy tale, when fairy tale texts are considered as a whole, all functions are present in fairy tales. This situation can be explained by the fact that fairy tales carry individual and cultural differences and therefore do not coincide with universal theory. From a psychological perspective, the texts were examined in light of the Monomyth and Archetype Theories, and the study was concluded by examining the psychological changes undergone by the heroes during their journeys and the symbolic meanings of the symbols and figures revealed by the collective unconscious. As a result, it was concluded that the fairy tale texts examined largely corresponded with the theories.
