Abstract (EN)

Purpose of this thesis is to discuss domestic debt management concept via to take in consideration Turkish economy. It encompassed with four section. In the first section, domestic public debt and arguments of its economic effects in literature were given as a basis. Moreover this section include public deficits as a main reason of domestic public debts. Second section explains domestic debt management concept. With selected countries experience. Third section researhes implementaion of theoric arguments on Turkey that has explained in first and second section. Fourth section analyses sustainability of domestic public debt by employing time series econometrics with cointegration model.When we order general findings of this thesis, professional debt management implementaion has short history in our country. However it may not be false to say its development is relatively fast. Successful countries new products for brodening investor base, tecnological changes and instituonal developments are followed. But high level of domestic debt\GDP ratio has a danger of unsustainability for domestic public debt.. Findings show that domestic debt managers can struggle this risk through the diversification of buyers portfolio of domestic public debt bonds.and it aims to underline some factors that has to be taken into account by debt managers.
