Abstract (EN)
In this study; as an alternative to thin-walled energy-absorbing structures used in many areas such as automotive industry, transportation, aerospace, space industry; the energy damping behaviors under the lateral loading of the energy dampers obtained from the nested tubes of various configurations were investigated. With 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 6 tube configurations of the tube structures, which are designed to show uniform energy absorption model, were investigated experimentally under semi-static pressure conditions. The results were compared with energy damping characteristics and specific energy absorption capacity.
