Abstract (EN)
The study was performed in DEUTF KBB AD for researching the relationship between electrically evoked compound action potential (ECAP) and electrically evoked brainstem responses from the cochlear implant recıpıent children without inner ear anomaly. Between ages 2 and 6 years old 16 children with Nucleus Cochlear Implant was attended to this study. First intracochlear electrodes current value was measured by impedance telemetry method, then one in the basal, one in the median and the other one in the apical 3 electrodes? ECAP thresholds was recorded. EABRs in 200 CL and 180 CL was recorded to analyze EABR thresholds, intensity-latance function, amplitude and morphology of the same electrodes. Tha data was analysed by Spearman correlation analyse and Wilcoxon signed rank test. There was a strong, positive and significant correlation between ECAP and EABR thresholds in the apical, median and the basal electrodes. There was no meaningful difference between ECAP and EABR thresholds (p<0.05). It is found that when the stimulus level was decreased, lantencies of wave eIII. and wave eV. were extended and the amplitudes were decreased meaningfully. After morphology analysis it is concluded that there was a wave eV. with distant peak the recordings from the apical electrodes in all participients and the recordings from the other electrodes in more than half of the particients in 200 CL. There was an increase in the participients who have shaped like elliptic and flat wave eV. in 180 CL. As a result there is a consistency between ECAP and EABR techniques, but it is not possible that one of these techniques are excluded. For next studies it is required to be selected more electrodes for stimulation.
