Abstract (EN)
Water distribution system to be managed in a reliable way is important for transmitting of water to people safely and reduction and prevention of water losses occurred in pipeline system. For this, to reveal the current status of infrastructure system and monitoring are required. It is important to determine the frequency of occurrence of failures in pipeline system and define the spatially distribution of failures for management of infrastructure system. The factors causing the failures on pipeline systems in general are the features of pipe material, the ground water level and soil properties in region, traffic intensity, pipe diameter, operation pressure etc. The aim of this these is to define and evaluate the relationship between the failures recorded in water distribution system and the factors causing failures on pipe by using clustering methods and Geographic Information Systems. For this aim, the failures occurred in the water distribution system, in Malatya province at year 2006 -2012, are analyzed and the relationship between failures and influential factor on failures are evaluated.
