Abstract (EN)
Keywords: water main system, flow rate, energy consumption, pump, compensation. In this thesis drinking water main system, the way it operates and the problems which are faced while it is managed have been examined. A small model of this drinking water main system was established in order to eliminate these problems and different kinds of experiments have been done on it. On the model which was established the flow rate and the water level at the tank exit have been measured continuously. The flow rate of the tank exit changes continuously. Taking into account this change find also the energy consumption of the pumps which have different capacity, an optimum solution has been aimed. The experimental work, the remote control and checking of this established model have been done by the help of a computer. And also it has been observed that the model can be checked by means of a visual programme which was made in the language of Delphi. The applicability of the system thought has been shown pratically as a rusult of the simulations which have been done on the model.
