Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, we examine the internal and external factors that influence the democratization process in Turkish Republics. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, these newly independet countries? political regimes started to change towards democracy. Relatively, ruling elites in these republics have faced a situation to balance between democratization demands of their citizens and international conjuncture with building stable states. Many factors play role in determining the pace, shape, direction and intensity of democratization taking place in such conditions. So the goal of this thesis is to elaborate the democratization process in Turkish Republics in the light of these factors.
