Abstract (EN)
One of the important parameters affecting efficiency in all engineering applications is the inlet conditions of the internal combustion engines' part. Air and fuel mixture inlet parameters are also important in engine thermodynamics and engineering. Filtration is also important in this regard. Particles released during combustion in the engine (carbon emissions) and foreign substances entering the system with the air-fuel mixture cause unwanted outputs such as wear and indirect contamination in the engine. Wear and heating continue to be a problem that is still being developed and needs to be developed despite the advancement of technology. Lubrication systems, which are one of the most important systems in internal combustion engines, have tasks such as reducing friction in the engine block, preventing wear, preventing corrosion, ensuring that the inside of the engine remains clean, removing solid particles from the engine, and cooling moving parts. At this point, the importance of filtration should be clearly seen; oil filters are an important factor for the long, healthy and efficient operation of the engine. It must have the necessary pore diameter to be suitable for the required amount and speed of oil in the engine, to hold the particles in the oil and to hold the carbon particles released in the combustion chamber. In this study, 6 different oil filter papers were subjected to grammage determination, thickness determination, bursting strength, air permeability, pressure loss flow characteristics and life and accumulation efficiency tests, and efficiency analysis was performed thus the results were presented comparatively.
