Transcription and evaluation of Idrak newspaper

The newspaper İdrak was published in 33 issues between April 28 and July 22 in 1919. Published by "Participant" Hilmi, the newspaper is also the publication organ of the Socialist Party of Turkey. The newspaper was closed in the 15th issue shortly after it started to be published, but it started to be published again 1.5 months later, and it was permanently discontinued in the 33rd issue after 17 days of publication. The 16th, 17th and 21st issues of the newspaper could not be found. Cognition was influential in the promotion and spread of socialism in Ottoman Turkey. They have published anonymous series of articles about socialism, and information about the workers' movements and socialist movements in the world and in the country, with the news of the "Socialism Realm". In addition, news on the peace negotiations, the trials of the Unionists, the appointments made by the state, the Damat Ferit Pasha cabinet and the occupation of İzmir, were made in the economic, social and cultural fields. The newspaper is strongly opposed to the Unionists, this is reflected in the articles and news, and Damat Ferit Pasha and his government are supported. The newspaper made news from the Ottoman Empire and the world, and is also a local newspaper because it reports from Istanbul.
