Abstract (EN)
In this study, the antioxidant activities, fenolic content and radical scavenging activities of Ağşeftali and Zeferan Peach (Prunus persica L.) which were grown in Iğdır region, consumed by the local people and sold in local markets were investigated with various methods. For this purpose, from the ethanol extract prepared from the liyophilised Ağşeftali and Zeferan peach, total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, 1,1-diphenyl-2- picryl-hydrazyl free radical (DPPH·+) scavenging activities, 2,2´-azino-bis (3-etilbenztiyoazol-6-sulphonic acid) radical (ABTS∙ +) radical cation scavenging activity and cuprac method based cupric ion reduction capability are examined. Total phenolic compound content in ethanol extracts of lyophilized Ağşeftali and Zeferan peach was found to be 1293,9±84,9 mg GA / 100 g dry weight, 1026,3±99,46 mg GA / 100 g dry weight, respectively, as gallic acid (GAE) equivalent. The total amount of flavonoids was found to be 83,6±2,56 mg QE / 100 g dry weight, 110,9±6,07 mg QE / 100 g dry weight, respectively, as quercetin equivalent (mg QE). DPPH ·+ free radical scavenging activity was found to be 33,46 μg/ml and 23,45 μg/ml, respectively, as the IC50 value. ABTS ∙ + radical cation scavenging activity was found to be 31,17 µmol Trolox / g dry weight and 27,60 µmol Trolox / g dry weight respectively as trolox equivalent. According to the Cuprac method, the capacity to reduce cupric ions was found to be 80,34 µmol Trolox / g dry weight and 67,00 µmol Trolox / g dry weight respectively for Trolox equivalent for Ağşeftali and Zeferan peach. HPLC analysis of the samples showed that o-coumaric acid was the highest amount of phenolic compound in Ağşeftali and zeferan peach samples.
