Abstract (EN)
The study was carried out to determine some phenological, pomological and chemical traits of native peach genotypes under Iğdır ecological conditions in 2013 and 2014. Called as Zeferan and Ağşeftali, from two native peach cultivar populations, 38 genotypes were investigated and compared with two standart cultivars such as Rich Lady and Royal Glory in the study area. Investigated genotypes were determined to be late or very late ripening stage. Among genotypes, fruit weight, flesh/pit weight ratio, total soluble solid content, titratable acidity and vitamin C varied from 115.2 g to 258.4 g, 11.0 to 24.7, 9.9 % to 17.5 %, 0.3 g/100 g to 1.2 g/100 g and 4.3 mg/100 g to 22.1 mg/100 g, respectively in the year 2013, and 156.0 g to 213.0 g, 13.8 to 22.3 8.9 % to 15.2 %, 0.7 g/100 g to 1.4 g/100 g and 5.0 mg/100g to 22.5 mg/100g, respectively in the year 2014. Ağşeftali 7 and Ağşeftali 8 genotypes, belonging to Ağşeftali population, were found to have heavier fruits and heigher contend of TSS and vitamin C when compared to standart cultivars. As a result of the current study, native peach populations could be very important source for breeding and genetic studies. It was also found that Ağşeftali 7 and Ağşeftali 8 were promising genotypes in terms of investigated traits.
