Erwinia amylovora (Burr.) Winslow et al.,). is the most serious and destructive bacterial disease affecting apple, pear and other Rosaceae family. In 2014 and 2015, total 79 bacterial strains were isolated from diseased plant samples taken from Iğdır province. 58 strains of them were identified as E. amylovora. 11 varieties of apples were tested for various reactions against E. amylovora. It was observed that the sensitivity of the varieties showed differences according as inoculation of leaves and shoots. As a result of leaf inoculation; Pink Lady was highly suscebtible, 4 varieties (Jeromine, Granny Smith, Mondial Gala and Amasya) were susceptible and 6 varieties (Stark Crimson, Williams Pride, Red Chief, Scarlet Spur, Fuji Zhen Astec and Golden Reinders) were moderately susceptible. According to evaluations of shoot inoculation; 8 variesties (Stark Crimson, Jeromine, Williams Pride, Red Chief, Scarlet Spur, Fuji Zhen Astec, Granny Smith and Mondial Gala) were few susceptible and 3 varieties (Amasya, Golden Reinders and Pink Lady) were moderately susceptible.
