Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the most suitable sunflower varieties for Iğdır Plain irrigated conditions at randomized complete blocks with three replications in 2013. In this study, plant height, diameter of head, seed yield per plant, 1000 seed weight, harvest index, seed yield, crude oil ratio, crude oil yield and crude protein ratio characteristics of 14 sunflower varieties were observed. According to the results, varieties were found to have significant effects on features except crude protein ratio. Depending on obtained data of study, seed yields were varied between 271,5 kg/da – 316,4 kg/da. The highest seed yield was obtained from Hornet (316,4 kg/da) and the lowest seed yield was detect from EGE 2001 (271,5 kg/da). In the trial, crude oil yields were varied between 102,4 – 135,7 kg/da. The highest crude oil yield was screened from Armada (135,7 kg/da) and the lowest seed yield was obtained from Ege 2001 (102,4 kg/da).
