Abstract (EN)
Although economic development of a country is closely related to the country?s economic, social and institutional structure, within the context of present global economic affairs, today?s international trade relations has great importance for economic development. The countries which apply industrializing strategy towards outward use some incentives to increase exports. When Turkish economy from early Republican years to present day is examined, it is seen that import substitution strategy was adopted until January 24, 1980. After January 24, 1980 decisions, import substitution strategy has been left and export-oriented industrialization strategy has been put into force. With these decisions it?s aimed to liberalize the economy of the country, such that outward looking policies and flexible exchange rate system are applied and, in addition, certain incentives have been used to increase exports. In 1987, to develop exports and to institutionally rehabilitate the financing of exports Turk Eximbank was established. By implementing credit, insurance and guarantee programs Turk Eximbank serves to increase the volume of exports, to diversify exports items in goods and services and to establish new markets for them. It can be proposed that using some incentives is effective in increasing exports and shifting the structure of exports towards industrialized goods and, that Turk Eximbank credit programs are export incentives which affect exports of the country.
