Syntax in İhsan Oktay Anar's novel Efrâsiyâb'ın Hikâyeleri

Syntax examines the structure, functions and semantic features of word groups or sentences formed by the combination of words, also focuses on the way the sentences are connected and the morphological and semantic features between the connected sentences. In this study, İhsan Oktay Anar's novel named "Efrâsiyâb'ın Hikâyeleri" syntactically analyzed. This study consists of two chapters. In the first chapter, the author's biography, his literary personality and a summary of the novel "Efrâsiyâb'ın Hikâyeleri" was presented. In the second chapter, the elements of sentence and their functions, word groups, definitions of words groups and their functions in the sentence are explained by giving examples from the novel. Then, the sentences were analyzed according to the way they are connected, the type of the predicate, the place of the predicate and the semantic features and supported with examples. Finally, the selected sentences from the novel were analyzed and the elements and word groups of the sentences were shown in detail. The sources used in the study are given in the bibliography section. The aim of this thesis is to contribute to the syntax of Turkey Turkish by examining the novel of İhsan Oktay Anar, one of the authors of Turkish literature who uses language best.
