İhsan Ozanoğlu and his works in folklore

After nearly a century of European Turkey also began a systematic study of folklore. The first person that comes to mind in Kastamonu in the field of folklore is İhsan Ozanoğlu. The purpose of this study is to create an annotated bibliography of İhsan Ozanoğlu's studies in the field of folklore, to reveal Ozanoğlu's place in folklore studies and to determine his place in Kastamonu memory. For this reason, in addition to Ozanoğlu's studies in the field of folklore, books, theses, articles, papers, symposiums, panels, concerts, memorial services, works on Ozanoğlu and his works, the institutions named after Ozanoğlu, posts are also included in the thesis. In this context, the works of İhsan Ozanoğlu were determined by the literature scanning method. T.C. where the works are found. Ministry of Culture and Tourism Kastamonu Provincial Public Library, T.C. Ministry of Culture and Tourism National Library, Turkish Language Association Library, T.C. Ministry of Culture and Tourism Ankara Ethnography Museum Specialization Library, Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism Archeology Museum Library, T.C. Ministry of Culture and Tourism Boratav Public Culture Research and Tourism Specialization Library, T.C. By scanning the catalogs of the Manuscript Institution Kastamonu Manuscript Library, an annotated bibliography of the works in the field of folklore has been given. In this thesis, 205 books written by Ozanoğlu, 15 articles, 194 independent treatises, 114 newspaper articles and numerous treatises in 205 volumes were examined. On the other hand, since they are not in the field of folklore, the tags of 20 books and 129 treatises were included. As a result, we can say that İhsan Ozanoğlu has an important place in the history of Turkish folklore studies besides determining and recording the local values of Kastamonu.
