The reports about Iraq that are issued by Abdülhamid the second

The Ottoman Empire has entered to the XIX. century with military, social and financial problems and it tried top cope with the solutions of these problems during the century.In the time period which the Ottoman Empire was living its most difficult days in this century, the ruler Abdülhamid the second, like the previous rulers did, started several reform studies for helping the empire to get out from these problems and turn back to its most powerful days.Abdülhamid the Second tried to do these reform studies especially in the eastern areas which Muslims live in and Iraq. In order to actualize the mentioned reforms in the area, Abdülhamid the Second issued some reports related with the area for gathering pre-information about the area and preparing the reforms in the light of this information.We presented these reports that are giving detailed information about the area to Abdülhamid the Second and that are composing the key point of our thesis and their analysis, thus we tried to provide these information to the world of science and everyone related to this by giving a large place to this issue at the last part of our study.We completed our study by mentioning about Iraq?s geography, history and it?s time under the ruling of Ottoman Empire and important events during this period.Our study is mainly composed of history of Iraq, Iraq?s time period under the ruling of Ottoman Empire and the reports about Iraq that are issued by Abdülhamid the Second and their analyzes.Keywords: Abdülhamid II, Documents, History, Iraq, Ottoman.
