Comparision and analysis the education politics of the Period Mahmut the Second (1808-1839) and Atatürk (1923-1938)

The aim of this study is the comparison and analysis of two glorious eras of Mahmut the Second and Ataturk renowned for their radical innovations and revolutions in Turkish Educational policies taking into consideration the conditions of their times.In this contex, improvement in the perception of education in the Turkish society along with the classical Turkish Education System and reflections of sociocultural disinformation period till Mahmut the Second era is examined. The century-long transmission period between two leaders is included in the study examining all aspects of educational views of both leaders.The education policies and reforms of Ataturk who has been trained with the princibles and educational guidelines of Mahmut the Second had established, has similarities in strategy and implementation. Both leaders acted with the common opinion of the necessity of a national and modern education system to maintain national interests and purposes, excluding and inactivating the institutions that may hinder this objective using necessary legal rights and convincing the target populations instead of using force to obtain their support.
