Abstract (EN)

In this study, the flood wave that will occur in case of the demolition of Hasanlar Dam on Küçük Melen Stream was investigated throughout the basin. The study investigated how the Büyük Melen Dam, Düzce province in economically critical point in our west and Düzce Plain, connecting Anatolia to Istanbul in Turkey to be quite intense traffic flow at critical two arteries D100 (E5) road and TEM highway will be affected by this disaster. The HEC-RAS program in which can model the flood wave using hydrodynamic methods, was used in the research, GIS systems and satellite maps were used and calculations were made with two-dimensional (2D) analysis. With the study, the neighborhoods and villages submerged in Düzce City center and Melen Basin and agricultural areas were identified. Flood propagation maps showing water depth, water velocity and water elevation values were obtained depending on the time. The effect of the roughness value on the calculations has been revealed. As a result; Serious prosperty and life losses would predicted if the Hasanlar Dam collapse.
