Today, existing energy sources are seen to be inadequate depending on growing population and developing technology. To follow position of the sun has optimally become very important to take advantage from the solar panels. In this thesis, a photovoltaic system which can move both east-west direction and in a dual-axis vertically is designed. This system follows the sun throughout the day. Being the most important part of the study, the PIC18F452 based electronic card moves the panel optimally according to the angle of the sunlight and the latitude-longitude of its location. Also, this system can follow the change of the suns daily angle depending on the local time. After simulating on Proteus, the angle and the time values can be tracked by the LCD screen. With the Proton Compiler, the sofware for the PIC18F452 is programmed. While the battery feeds the electronic card and the motors, the regulator helps the battery to be charged. The solar tracker system is compared with the fixed solar systems and the results show that the presented system is a successful prototype.
