The effect of fabric construction on the mechanical properties of fabric in two-layer woven fabrics

Within the scope of this thesis, two-layer woven fabrics in different constructions have been produced in order to examine the effect of fabric construction on the performance characteristics of the fabric in two-story structures. Fabrics; The warp yarn number, type and frequency are the same, but the type of weft yarn is woven in the dobby weaving machine with the knitting of the upper layer and the connection between the two layers. The results were evaluated statistically by measuring the tensile strength and elongation, tear strength, seam strength and abrasion resistance of the fabric samples obtained. According to the results obtained from the study, it was observed that the type of weft yarn used, the knitting report of the upper layer and the connection type between the two layers had a statistically effect on the tensile strength and tensile strength, tear strength, abrasion resistance and seam strength of the two-ply fabrics.
