Abstract (EN)

The Second World War took place between the years 1939-1945, despite Turkey to enter the war, in order to go to war conducted by politicians in the country politics, it had a profound effect on the social and economic field. Even in the Aegean region, which has one of Turkey's biggest export port of Izmir, the negativity of the Second World War was heavily affected. Economic stagnation and wartime practices brought about a slowdown in Izmir's social life. With the end of the war, as well as relaxation in both domestic politics and Turkey's relations with Western countries began in Izmir, a city to the West of the country he had made itself felt. First of all, the economic revival brought about the acceleration of social life. The first effect was shown in Izmir Fair, many foreign countries participated in the fair. On the other hand, many public and private institutions, especially the municipality of Izmir, have made attempts to affect the social life of İzmir; they had taken steps that led to social life. In this thesis, we will try to shed light on the social life of İzmir after the Second World War; will be informed about many regulations, practices and activities affecting the daily life of the people.
