A research on İkindiyazıları magazine

İkindiyazıları is an art and literature magazine published in Andırın town of Kahramanmaraş between April 1985 and October 1994 with 131 issues. The magazine has hosted many important names during the ten years it was published. The magazine has been an opportunity for young poets and writers, has given them a place in its pages and has given them the experience of magazine management. İkindiyazıları has trained poets and writers, most of whom are competent writers today. Although the magazine was published in a provincial town, it was available to all readers free of charge. For this reason, İkindiyazıları has a valuable place in terms of our literary journalism. The study consists of three parts, excluding the Introduction and Conclusion parts. In the first chapter, because of the publication of İkindiyazıları in the provinces, the province, the borders of the province and the semantic field of the concept of the province are examined. The difficulties faced by journalism activities in the provinces are mentioned. The relation of İkindiyazıları to the province is mentioned. The second chaptar focuses on the İkindiyazıları. In this part, the political, social and cultural environment of the 80s and 90s, when the magazine was published, is mentioned. It is tried to reveal what kind of differences the political events and world view that took place in these years created in literary works. The publishing adventure of İkindiyazıları, its position in the literary tradition, its preparation for publication, the criticisms it faced, the closing process, the staff of writers, its shape and visual features are examined in this part. In the third chapter, focus on literary activities in İkindiyazıları. It is determined which literary genres are in the magazine and what are the prominent themes in these literary genres. At the end of the study, in the Appendix, there are tables about how many works of which type are in the İkindiyazıları, and who wrote these works; examples of the title of the magazine and the drawings used in the magazine; Interviews with Arif Ay, Duran Boz, Yunus Develi, who are in the İkindiyazıları staff, and İskender Zengin, who takes part in the printing and distribution works of the magazine, are included.
