Abstract (EN)

Climate can be defined as the analysis of weather events by analyzing a geography long term in a certain element circle. Climate is a system and consists of certain elements. Climate change is a change in the air and environmental events that are generally considered to be a negative one. The issue of climate change has a wide variety of perspectives as it interacts with many areas such as the political, economic and social structures of societies. Therefore, the awareness of climate change has increased significantly in recent years and has taken place in the literature. The climate model is the numerical representation of the functioning and reactions of the climate system. This study consists of examining the mathematical model dimensions of the studies conducted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which is one of the important organizations related to climate change. The subject has been tried to be interdisciplinary with its legal, social and political dimensions not only with its mathematical dimension. This study, Turkey and the Euphrates-Tigris Basin examining climate change projections aims to create climate change projections for the province of Elazig. For this, the data obtained by scale reduction method based on RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5 scenarios within the scope of HadGEM2-ES model included in the IPCC 5th Assessment Report were mapped to Elazig with ArcGIS 10.5 program. Study results are expected in Turkey 2-5 °C temperature increase and decrease of precipitation in 5% to 45% for Euphrates- Tigris Basin precipitation decreases with temperature increases by 2-6 °C for up to 20% Turkey. As a result of this study, approximately 3 °C temperature increase and approximately 200 mm rainfall decrease predictions were obtained for Elazig province.
