Abstract (EN)

Climate responsive building design is quite important since it contributes to prevent global warming and climate change, which are the biggest problems in the world recently. With reference to subject, in order to provide user comfort climatic features of the concerned region, such as air temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind, solar radiation and cloudness are needed to be examined for each step starting from planning to designing, constructing and using. There is no sanction in our country about constructing buildings as climate sensitive. This shows that, the importance of the subject is not perceived yet, in other words, it is not well known by designers, contractors and users. Therefore studies which aim to increase public awareness should be considered as soon as possible. In general, the easiest and most efficient way of acceptance and becoming widespread for a new application is preparing a legislation. In this manner, valid building legislations have to be revised with sanctions about planning and constructing climate sensitive buildings and also let authorities implement and audit accordingly. These studies should also be conducted to provide integrity with Building Ordinance and other statutory obligations and regulations which are developed regarding energy.
