Specificity problems encountered in drug packaging design and application studies

Pharmaceutical Packaging is a visual communication environment which is not thoroughly examined in terms of graphic design and whose graphics design qualities are not thoroughly considered, especially in our country. In this thesis titled "Issues of Originality Encountered in Pharmaceutical Packaging Designs and Application Studies", it was aimed to design original pharmaceutical packaging based on the solution recommendations developed by examining the design issues of pharmaceutical packaging in terms of originality and determining their problems, without also compromising the functionality. In the first part, what the packaging design is and what it works for, as well as the place and effect of the graphic design principles and elements on the packaging design is briefly discussed. In the second part, the development of the packaging design and the emergence of the pharmaceutical packaging design, as well as the effects of the developing technology on the packaging are mentioned. In the third chapter, what the pharmaceutical packaging design is and its importance, as well as its functions, its effects on unnecessary pharmaceutical use and its originality were discussed. Some pharmaceutical packaging designs as well as how they can be better in terms of graphic design and how they can be made more original is discussed. In the fourth and last chapter, Abdi İbrahim company, which is selected as a pharmaceutical manufacturer for designing packaging for pharmaceuticals, has been discussed and information is given regarding certain pharmaceuticals and different packaging approaches of the company. In addition, information is given regarding the elements used in the systematic applications of pharmaceutical packaging designed for Abdi İbrahim brand as well as the position and dimensions of these elements, and explanations were made regarding the creation of fractal applications and their positioning on the packaging. These new pharmaceutical packaging designs developed are applied to the company's pharmaceuticals with different function and form.
