Abstract (EN)
The rapid development and transformation of the competitive environment in working life from past to present has made employees one of the important elements for businesses. The general condition of working conditions is important for employees to produce goods and services effectively, efficiently and with high quality. Employees with good working conditions add more value to their businesses. In this context, importance should be given to improving the social and psychological conditions of employees in terms of working conditions. The aim of this study is to examine the burnout level and organizational silence levels of pharmaceutical company representatives, both in general and in its sub-dimensions, and to reveal the relationship between both concepts. Although there are different studies on burnout syndrome and organizational silence in the literature, no studies on pharmaceutical company representatives have been identified. This study is important in that it guides the policies that pharmaceutical companies will produce to improve working conditions for their representatives and is a study in the literature regarding pharmaceutical company representatives. The survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, was applied in the study. The sample size of the study consists of 623 pharmaceutical company representatives working in Kocaeli Province. In the study, data from the participants were collected through the Burnout Syndrome Scale and the Organizational Silence Scale, whose validity and reliability have been previously proven. The data obtained was analyzed and evaluated in the SPSS 20 program. As a result of the study, a moderate level of burnout syndrome and organizational silence was detected in pharmaceutical company representatives. The study also found a relationship between the burnout and organizational silence sub-dimensions of pharmaceutical company representatives.
