The Effect of Mobile Augmented Reality Application Developed for Drug Applications on Nursing Students' Drug Application Skills and Knowledge Scores INTRODUCTION AND AIM: In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of mobile augmented reality application developed for drug applications on drug application skills and knowledge scores of nursing students. TOOLS AND METHOD: The pretest-posttest paired control group experimental design was used in the research. During the Fall-Spring Semester of the 2019-2020 Academic Year, practices were carried out on 54 students at Sakarya University Faculty of Health Sciences. Opinion Questionnaire for the Participants about "Individual Presentation Form", "Subcutaneous Drug Application Skill Evaluation Form", "Intramuscular Drug Application Skill Evaluation Form", "Intravenous Drug Application Skill Evaluation Form", "Academic Achievement Test" and "MAR Practices" '' has been applied. Skewness and kurtosis coefficients test was performed to determine whether the distribution of points for each measurement was normal in the data obtained. Also, Shapiro-Wilk test was used. FINDINGS: It was determined that the education performed in traditional ways had a positive effect on students' drug application skills and knowledge scores and academic success. It has been determined that teaching of drug applications skills which are based on MAR applications in nursing education is more effective than traditional education in terms of both skill and knowledge and academic success. CONCLUSION: As a result of the study, it has been determined that the mobile augmented reality application developed for drug applications positively affects the drug application skills and knowledge scores of nursing students.
