Examination of metaphorical perceptions of theologians about the concept of 'commentary'

Abstract (EN)
The study is a qualitative research that aims to analyze the metaphoric perceptions of the theologicions studying in theology faculties about the concept of "commentary". This study is conducted with the participation of 200 students and groduates of Teology faculties. The data of 133 participants was used in our study; in addition the data of 67 participants are invalidated with the reasons of being inoppropriate or insufficent. The data of the study has been obtained with the help of a questionnaire form. "Commentary is like …………… because……………" was asked to the participants as an open-ended question; as a result, content analysis method is applied to analyze the gained data. At the result of the research, the participants came up with totally 133 metaphors and these metaphors have been collected in eight categories. According to the obtained data, the participants produred 72 different metaphors. The most used metaphors are "light", "ocean", "guide" and "sun" as a percentage.
