Advanced standard cost system and an application of it in a production enterprise

Enterprises find themselves in more intensive competitive atmosphere because of the free market economy, economic system open to the foreign market, customs union and globalization, under this competitive atmosphere, enterprises have to work productive and profitable to maintain their presence. To do this, enterprises have to plan and control their activities in the best way. Standard cost system is the best one that can be used for this aim. Recent years, there have been fundamental changes in the production technologies. To get the correct cost information, cost systems should be renewed according to this change. The aim of the thesis is to introduce source based cost system and the activity based cost system which are developed according to this change. In the first part of the study, elements forming cost and cost systems are presented. In the second part standard, cost system which is wed to measure planning, control and performance is presented. In the fourth part according to the changes in the production and management techniques is presented. In the fifth part an application done in o production enterprise is presented.
