Abstract (EN)

This study was done between November 2014 and July 2015, to determine bird species and their population density in Ilgaz Mountain National Park. It was used line transect current and point counts methods to determine the bird species. In this study, it was determined 10 Order, 27 family and 54 bird species. According to each family, numerical distribution were; Passeriformes 35, Ciconiiformes 2, Falconiformes 4, Galliformes 1, Columbiformes 3, Cuculiformes 1, Caprimulgiformes 1, Strigiformes 2, Coraciiformes 2, Piciformes 1. With this study, It was recorded new bird species into avifauna of the Ilgaz Mountain National Park. The most dominant order was Passeriformes but the least dominant order was Galliformes, Cuculiformes, Piciformes in Ilgaz Mountain National Park. The most observed bird was Sparrow in the first observed station, white wagtail in the second observed station and chaffinch in the third observed station Sparrow (Passer domesticus) was most observed bird in the first observation station, White wagtail (Motacilla alba) was most observed bird in the second observation station, and Chaffinch ( Fringilla coelebs) was most observed bird in the third observation station.
