Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to give information about the prehistoric and historical ages of Gelendost district. It consists of five parts, excluding the introduction part. In the first part, the historical geography of Gelendost district is explained by means of ancient sources and scientific studies which are researched in the region until today, in the second part, today's settlements of the district are briefly mentioned, in the third part, it is mentioned about the road routes that provide transportation to the district and its surroundings from the prehistoric period to the present day. In the fourth part, the settlements identified within the district boundaries are evaluated chronologically. In the last part, all the settlements in the districts from the prehistoric period to the present day are considered as a whole. As a result, it is determined that the settlements within the borders of Gelendost have been inhabited since the Paleolithic period without much change.
