Abstract (EN)

Aim: To investigate the relation between maternal serum PAPP-A, free B-hCG values and NT measures and pregnancy complications (spontaneous abortion, premature rupture of membranes, preterm premature rupture of membranes, preterm labor, low birth weight, preeclampsia, pregnancy induced hypertension, gestational diabetes, intrauterin fetal death, oligohydramnios, polyhydramnios).Material And Method: We studied 1552 singleton pregnancy at 10-14 gestational weeks, who admitted to DEU Medical School Obstetry outpatient clinic between 2006 January and 2008 August for first trimestr screeening ,and followed and delivered in our hospital. Maternal serum PAPP-A, free ß-hCG levels and NT measures were compared between the group without complications and in the group with complications as spontaneous abortion, premature rupture of membranes, preterm premature rupture of membranes, preterm labor, low birth weight, preeclampsia, pregnancy induced hypertension, gestational diabetes, fetal death, oligohydramnios, polyhydramnios. Results: The most frequent gestational complication was gestational diabetes (n=159, 10.2%).There wasn't a significant relation between first trimester maternal serum PAPP-A, free ß-hCG levels and NT measures and pregnancy induced hypertension, placenta previa, preterm labor, premature rupture of membranes, preterm premature rupture of membranes, macrosomia and polyhydramnios (p>0.05). There were significant relations between PAPP-A <5p and low birth weight (<5p and <10p), preeclampsia, oligohydramnios, GDM, and spontaneous abortion (p<0.05). Also the relation between PAPP-A >95% and preeclampsia was significant (p=0.02). Gestational complications and ß-hCG relation wasn't significant. High NT and, low birth weight (<5p) and oligohydramnios relation was significant (p<0.05).
