Özet (EN)

The focus of this study is the early bronze age I period outsid e cemetery unearthed in the excavations carried out in Küllüoba Mound located in Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir. Various grave types such as pithos, simple earth, pottery and stone cist were identified in the cemetery examined in the context of burial traditions in Western Anatolia. The fact that the dead were mostly buried in the hocker position is parallel to the general burial practices of the period. Ceramic vessels, jewelry and metal objects obtained as grave goods provide important clues about the socio-economic structure and cultural productivity of the period. The Küllüoba cemetery was evaluated by comparing it with other important necropolises in Western Anatolia, namely Kaklık Mevkii and Sarıket Cemetery Area. As a result of this comparison, both common and different aspects of the cemeteries were revealed, and the place of Küllüoba in the cultural structure of Western Anatolia was determined more clearly. The study makes significant contributions to the archaeological knowledge of the region, helping to reach a more in-depth understanding of lifestyles and belief systems in Western Anatolia during the Early Bronze Age.
