The effects and the foundations of the grid planning, with thesocial, economical and intellectual reasons considered, have beenstudied through various civilizations' city examples built in differentgeographical regions. It has been investigated whether the gridplanning's relation established with Hippodamos and democracy wasutilized in other grid planned cities.As a result of this work, it has been observed that, since the beginning,grid planning has been implemented for very different needs anddemands related to social, intellectual and economical reasons.
