Dr. Tamilla KASIMOVA The mankind, who learned to be able to use his voice, to produce various kinds of sound, to from instrumental sound by blowing empty boughs and using animal bores, expanded music in the company of dance and instruments into every aspect of his life. The chants muttered in order to overcome the powers of nature became shauting out of loneliness, fear and joy and, with the settled life cries of black magic and war. We tried to examine the effects on music of the social structure and social changes from the Ancient Age to the Baroque era. The process from the time of the primitive peoples to that of the end of the Renaissance was analysed under certain titles. At the same time the interactian between social structure and music was examined as well. Man, who gave direction to music, made music according to his position in the society and the kind of government. Without doubt, the technological developments effected the development of musical instruments. We examined the relations between music and society from the time of those primitive peoples through the Middle Age to the time of the Renaissance. The introduction is about knowing the primitive man and making him known, the study is also on the relation between music and black magic which has great importance for the lives of the primitive and the influence of the birth and development of music and the interaction of this relationship with the nature. Music is an art from with many practices and carrying a universal quality in all its forms.
