Teachers and administrators point of view about the applicability of the 4th and 5th classes science and technology lesson activities in primary schools (sample of Kütahya)

The original data of this research is acquired from the attainments, which are taken from the 40 administrators and 150 4th and 5th classes teachers in 40 schools in Kütahya.The aim of this research; analize and evaluate 2004 Science and Technology?s 4th and 5th classes programmes, which is started to applied in the beginning of the 2005-2006 Education Year, according to the ideas of the teachers of 4th aand 5th classes and administrators. By this way; with the 4th and 5th classes programmes; in 2006-2007 Education Year 6th classes, in 2007-2008 Education Year 7th classes, in 2008-2009 Education Year 8th classes will make contribution to the Science and Technology Education Programmes.To collect the original data in the research; Teacher Questionnaires (TQ),which are consisted of the 31 questions, and Administrator Questionnaires,which are consisted of the 17 open- pointed questions, are formed.Teachers, who are educated the 4th and 5th class(es)students, and Administrators of their schools-in 2006?2007 Education Year and in Kütahya- are formed the universe of this research. 150 4th and 5th classes teachers and administrators, who work in the same scholl, are formed the sample of the research.Coronbach Alpha reliability coefficient is found as 0.87. This reliability coefficient is too high for this research. And for the research validity; expert ideas are taken. Frequency and Percentage methods are used in this research.In the end of the research;1)The in-service training, which must be applied to the teachers and administrators before the programme is changed, is not trained or undervalued.2)In the content of the student?s book and workbook activities; there are very elusive and/or very simple activities.3)Although the duration of the Science and Technology Lesson arises to 4 from 3 in a week; duration of the lesson is still insufficient because of the intensity of the content and the concept.4)Because of the lack/deficiency of the physical conditions of the schools; it is seen that the activities can not be done/applied most of the schools.In the end of the research, there are some proposals,which are specified by the researcher according to the stated problems, take place
