In this research, the relationship between the reading comprehension, visual reading levels and the problem posing abilities of primary school fifth class students is studied. First of all, the effects of variables such as gender, socio-economic levels and educational level of parents on the reading comprehension, visual reading levels and the problem posing abilities of the students is investigated. Also, the effect of the Turkish and Mathematics lessons on the problem posing abilities is investigated. After that, the relationship between the reading comprehension, visual reading success rate and the problem posing abilities is examined. The sample of this research is from the first level primary school fifth class students in Ankara in the 2011-2012 academic year. The sample consists of 414 fifth class students from the 7 primary schools randomly selected from different socio-economic levels. In order to collect data,
