Thesample of the study was 1190 6th 7th and 8th grade primary school students from 13primary schools in Sahinbey and Sehitkamil. The data analysed were gathered by usingGrasha-Reichmann Student Learning Style Scale and I. Achievement and AssessingExam of Gaziantep Provincial Directorate of Education. On the basis of the dataobtained, there is significant correlation between the academic achievement and theavoidant, collaborative, dependent, competitive and participant learning styles for 6thgrade students; the independent, avoidant, and competitive learning styles for 7th grade;the independent, avoidant, collaborative and competitive learning styles for 8th grade.Key words: Learning styles, Academic achievement
