Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to compare the effects of learning the seventh grade primary rotation geometry subjects with Geometer?s Sketchpad and GeoGebra dynamic geometry software programs on student success and permanence. In this research, experimental research model with a control group and an experiment group and a post-test given to these groups was used. The experiment was conducted with three different seventh grade class students in Aydıncık province of Yozgat. Forty-eight students participated the study as experiment group and twenty-four students participated as control group. Random selection was used to select the control group among the classes of 7-A, 7-B and 7-C.The subjects of the rotation geometry in sub field of seventh grade mathematic were taught first experiment group by using GeoGebra dynamic geometry software and were taught second experiment group by using Geometer?s Sketch Pad but were taught control group by using traditional pen and pencil methods. The work sheets and classroom activities made by the investigator were used to teach the classes during six week.At the end of the study, it was explored that computer aided teaching methods were more effective than classical teaching methods in terms of learning rotation geometry. Also, it was found that the students who were taught by using computer aided teaching methods keep the knowledge in their minds for a long time compared to the others.
