A program offer for increasing students? readiness level to primary school 7th grade mathematics lesson and its effectiveness

The main purpose of this study is to search how the readiness educational program prepared for Mathematics lesson affects mathematical success, attitude and anxiety and psychomotor skills of primary school students.With this purpose, the effect of Mathematics teaching program on success, attitude and anxiety and psychomotor skills is studied in the groups whose mathematical success, attitudes, anxiety, psychomotor skills, genders and perceived teacher ? parent attitudes, parents? educational backgrounds, states of getting mathematical help are equalized.Experimental design is used in the research. The research is applied with 26 students, 13 of whom are in control group and 13 of whom are in experimental group, in Şehit Mahmutbey Primary School, Hendek, Sakarya. The purpose of using experimental design is to test the effect of readiness teaching program for the circle and cylinder subject of Mathematics lesson on success. Experimental design is applied with pre-test post-test control group and readiness teaching program is independent variable, success, attitude and anxiety and psychomotor skills are dependent variables in the research.With the aim of collecting data, Personal Information Form, Mathematical Achievement Test, Mathematical Anxiety Scale, Mathematical Attitude Scale and Mathematical Psychomotor Skills Scale are used. After grouping students with these forms, tests and scales, the implementation of research is done, the same tests and scales are implemented again as post-tests, then hypotheses are tested. Data are analyzed with the methods of comparing two averages of independent groups (t test for independent groups) and comparing two averages of dependent groups (t test for dependent groups) in the research. Analyses are performed with SPSS 15.0 statistical package program.According to findings of the research;1. Readiness teaching program increased the mathematical success level of students.2. Readiness teaching program increased the mathematical attitudes of students positively.3. Readiness teaching program decreased the mathematical anxiety of students.4. Readiness teaching program increased the psychomotor skills of students in mathematics.
