Cooperative learning applications at the visual arts of education sixth grade of primary school

Sciences May 2010 Advisor: Assit. Prof. Metin İNCE The purpose of this study is to determine how cooperative learning applications are carried out at the sixth grade in primary education. Because this research aimed at describing the case studied in this study in detail, it was designed as a holistic single case descriptive study based on participant observation. The study was conducted at Gümüşkonak Primary School in Eskisehir Province, Günyüzü county Gümüşkonak municipality in the Fall term of 2009-2010 educational year. The participants of the study are 6 female, 7 male students, and the teacher of 6. class. The data were collected between 10, Oct 2009 ? 31, December 2009. In this study, the cooperative learning application was carried out in the Visual Art lesson in 8 class hours between 16, Decenmber 2009 ? 31, December 2009. The data were gathered through ?Student Personal Information Form?, ?Participant Observation?, ?Video Recordings?, ?Semi-structured Interviews?, ?Researcher?s Journal?, and ?Student?s Products? as different data-collection instruments. The data were analyzed descriptively and then the findings were determined and evaluated based on the research questions.Key Words: Visual Art of Education, Cooperative Learning.
