Factors influencing primary school field teachers' use of online course materials in the teaching process

The transformation at schools and the increase in the number of educational technologies have made it necessary to conduct studies to examine the influence of the factors on teachers? use of online course materials in the teaching process. The present study aimed to determine the primary school field teachers? use of online course materials in the teaching process. The research universe of the study which was conducted with the survey model included the field teachers from the primary schools in Eskisehir in the academic year of 2011-2012, and a total of 870 field teachers participated in the study. In order to collect the research data, the questionnaire ?Factors Influencing Primary School Field Teachers? Use of Online Course Materials in the Teaching Process? developed by the researcher was used. The basic purpose of the study was not only to identify the technologies that primary school field teachers used in their schools and homes but also to determine which online course materials they used in the teaching process and how often they used these materials. In addition, the study investigated the relationship between the factors influencing primary school field teachers? use of online course materials in the teaching process and variables like gender, years of professional experience, fields of teaching, Internet use frequencies and levels of computer and Internet use skills.
